Detritus (2011)

Smartphones are ubiquitous, and with the ability to take pictures, video, and sound we sometimes make unwanted or poor recordings. "Detritus" makes use of such artifacts as source material. Real-time sound and video manipulation software was used to randomly splice, combine, and distribute these artifacts into the result you see here. The version above is for 2 channels (stereo), although it is best heard in 4 channels (quad).
